Greetings! We are delighted to update you with two new announcements: 1) New Convening Committee of DSOBA Medical & Healthcare Chapter (May 2019 to April 2021); 2) DSOBA Joint Design & Built Environment Chapter (DBE) x Medical Healthcare Chapter (MHC) Dinner on June 27th, 2019.
- New Convening Committee of DSOBA Medical & Healthcare Chapter (May 2019 to April 2021)
In an effort to better connect DBS old boys in the healthcare profession with undergraduate students or members of the DBS community, we have restructured the convening committee of MHC to better serve our brothers, bringing in necessary new blood to bring new ideas and help organize activities. - DSOBA Joint Chapter (DBE x MHC) Dinner: BUILD FOR PATIENTS, June 27th, 2019
There are many aspects when our industry/professional expertise intersects with another. How can we design and develop healthcare facilities that are more patient-centric? Operational flow-friendly? Future-technology-proof? How can insights from clinical practice and patient feedback be translated to architects, developers, and regulators? Why is it relevant for clinicians to understand latest trends of innovative hospital and clinic design? Lessons drawn from designing for other industries? What’s more is that our alumini connect and synergise with related professions
We are proud to co-organize a social event that would bring brothers from these DSOBA chapters together in true DBS spirit. We are also delighted to have two brothers from our chapters (Dr. Fung Hong ’74, CEO of CUHK Medical Centre, and Tony Ho ’83, Chairman of Children’s Cancer Foundation) share their perspectives on how we can design and build better for patients.
